I just realized that I wrote "one of them is almost 33 pages!" Haha. I meant to write 300. (33 pages - you must have thought I was a wuss.) 33 pages is clear sailing. No, I meant 300.

Heads up! I have bronchitis, so if you've been around me during the last week or so, you probably do too.

Yesterday I drew a picture. It was fun, so I drew another. Now I want to buy really nice colored pencils - like prismacolor.

I have to read a book a week for my Human Comm class. And they are not little books either. One of them is almost 33 pages. *sigh* And the teacher is my advisor so I can't slack off, and there's only about 9 people in the class so I can't hide.

Britney Spears is supposed to have an orgasm on the MTV Video Music Awards tonight... surrounded by wild animals. What is the world coming to when this what people want to see? Hell yeah I'm watching it.

I can really tell that Candice has been out of school for a 2 years. I was reading her journal entry which consisted of nothing but her whining about her work load at Essex, and I thought "I would kill to have that little amount of work that she has". Oh my god! 14 Chapters the whole damn semester. I read at least 14 chapters a week. And a one page paper!?!?! There is no such thing at Goucher. I have never had less than a 3 page paper in my entire college life. Oh, and she's taking all 100 level classes. Haaaaaaaard. (insert sarcasm) Blah! *sigh* Some people don't know how good they got it. Whine Whine Whine Bitch Bitch Bitch Complain Complain Complain.

Megan - you sound really excited about coming home! Yay Moxleys and Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream!

Ug. I have the most annoying cough and I don't know whether it is caused by sickness or allergies, so I don't know whether I should take allergy medication or cold and flu medication. Grrrr. Last night I took both, and one of them worked because I got to sleep without being woken up by coughing every 5 mins. Sadly, I don't know which one it was. Maybe it was the combination because I've taken both seperately and I still cough.

Barb told me that she checks my pita daily and I am happy because I don't think a lot of people do. So Hi to those i know read this:

Megan - If the internet has been down, how did they expect you to check the e-mail that said they were experiencing internet outages.

Mmmmm. Money money money. I have not enough of you. I went to lunch today at the Cheesecake Factory and made a big deal about paying for my food because no one wanted to split anything with me and I didn't want to pay for a whole meal. Bleh. Now that I think about it, I wish I hadn't. I probably sounded really cheap. Oh well. I admit, I am cheap - I work for my money and I want to spend it wisely - not on food I won't eat.

I need to do something non-food, non-school related. Maybe I should call Mary and see if she want to go to BAR on Thurs. Or Erin. I prob won't though, I'll end up watching the MTV Video Music Awards with Guisset, Jamie, Katie, and Rachel. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just feel like they will get tired of me hanging out in their room all the time. They say they won't but I know with me that's impossible.

I miss Megan and Sara to hang out with me and Erin. =(

Haircut Haircut (to the tune of Dora the Explorer "backpack backpack"). I got my haircut and it looks nothing like any of the pictures. It's kinda like a ball. I dunno, i need to wash it and look at it in a not so poofy light, but I think I like it.

School Days School Days...

I love Goucher. I have had the best three days this week (except for the loss of that $24 psych paper which I repaired in my own way). I really missed some people and I was really surprised at how much everyone just falls back together. This is the best time of the year because everything is fresh and new, but also warmly farmiliar. No one has a lot of work to do yet, and everyone is excited to see friends they haven't seen the whole summer. It's before the pressure of college has weighed down nerves, and the routiness of it all has gotten, well... too routine. I wish college was really like this.

And another good thing - Katie's on campus! I'm so happy for her, taking the first big step away from her sheltered life of parent-pleasing. I told her that if she wants to break out of her Katie-nice-sweet-shy-girl mold, she can come visit Rands in CP with me some time. Randi calls herself the "corrupter" of the innocent. (Her students include me and Branda.) Not that their's anything wrong with her current state, but she herself expressed some boredom with it, so I was just trying to help like the friend I am.

Speaking of friends - I HAVE MANY!!! Shout outs to Stephanie/Jamie, Guis, Saira, Katie, and Rachel! Yay! Fun times already: Never have I ever, 7-11, Art supplies, lunch, ice cream!

I want to visit Peter, Randi, Kim, and Barb before the work load gets to be to much for any of us. As Guisset says - Set a date, don't just give a general area of time. So I guess I will try.

Why didn't Mary call me when she told Randi she would?

Haircuts Haircuts Haircuts! I can't find a decent haircut for my head. These are some ones I've found that I'm considering.



I think I like the last one the best. I really wanted to get my haircut before college started which would be tomorrow, but alas that was not to be. Ah well.

Well, I off to the showers b/c I am going out with Branda and Mary!!! Yay!

A little Canned Erin Movie review for you:

Well, It's Official! Kevin Smith has definately sold out! With the release of "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back", Kevin has made a full circle from his artsy independent Clerks to this commericial Hollywood cliche. "Jay and Silent Bob" pulls out all the typical Hollywood movie shots from the gaudy colorful sets to the game of how many stars from American Pie can I shove into one movie. I'm not saying this movie was bad - on the contrary, it was hilarious - but the reason it was funny is so mainsteam and practiced that it seems somewhat tired and overplayed on today's cinema scene. The look at the audience gag was side-splittingly funny the first time, mildly humorous the second time, and fell flat the third. I have to admit that I, along with the audience, laughed at the fart and fuck jokes, cheered everytime a new star made a cameo, chuckled at the inside Jersey film Jokes, and thouroughly enjoyed the movie. Yes, I admit the movie was great, but it was definately a Hollywood movie. A Hollywood movie poking fun at Hollywood movies - "Jay and Silent Bob" pulled out all the tricks in the book. The movie was filled with celebrity cameos from Mark Hammil to James VanDerBeek along with Sean Scott, Jason Biggs, and Shannon Elizabeth from American Pie - and of course Matt Damon and Ben Affleck who's funniest part in the movie was them critisizing each other's movie choices post Good Will Hunting. It also has plenty of bodily function jokes, a gag which involved Jon Stewart saying the word "clit" mutiple times, a monkey, and a happy ending. So in closing, "Jay and Silent Bob" is a movie to see if you want to laugh a lot, but after words ask yourself - "If this movie had been made with unknown actors by and unknow director would it have been as good?" I think not.

And if you want to come to my house and kick the sh*t out of me for saying this, be my guest.

Friday, August 24, 2001 * 12:41 p.m.

One by one my friends are leaving. *Sigh* Rands and Sara leave tomorrow morning. I talked to Megan in a chatroom we made for our 4some + candice, and she was so sad because we were all here and she was there. It's funny, I realized that I am sadder this year about my friends that are going off to college than I was last year when I was a senior. That's kind of messed up that my senior friends meant less to me than my OCV friends, but considering how much I see OCV vs PHHS I guess it makes sense. GOD! It will be just me and Erin left in one day. As Erin says - Only Erin squared. Hehe. Oh well. College should be good this year - more eventful than last. I am more confortable in my commuter shoes, plus Katiekins is living on campus so I can sleepover without worrying about wearing out my welcome because Katie is niiiiiiiiiice. Plus, I am looking forward to some Towson parties from Firefighter Jen and K-Cheesey and drunken-rich-doctor-boy-filled Hopkins parties c/o P-Tar. (yes maam) I wanna go to a foam party! Yippidy skippidy. Because you know there are few good parties at Goucher. Also now that I know where BAR is, I can take my college friends clubbing! So fun filled times predicted in the future.

Going to see Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back with Sara and Erin as a last hurrah. I better be damn funny for $8.25!
